How to SSH Tunnel to your Navicat Software
SSH Tunnel to your Navicat Software
By: ozarkhost set up a new connection using SSH port 22. click on 'tunnels' source port: 911 destination: 127.0.0.1:3306 click "add" Connect to the server and sign on. ------------------------------------------------------------- From PremiumSoft Navicat.. Right click in left window, select "new connection". Type any connection name Host name/IP address: localhost Port: 911 Username: your MySQL user name Password: your MySQL password if you have an SSL box, uncheck it. Some versions have it, others don't. Click "save" You should be tunneled in to MySQL with your ODBC software. You will always have to open and establish a connection using Putty before connecting using Navicat, as Putty establishes your server connection. I haven't tested the theory of not being logged as SU, but it should work...as long as you have any successful connection to the server using tunneling, you shouldn't have to be connected as any particular user. |
