I had major problems with data import to mysql on fedora core box i use oscmax ecommerce software i have tried and tried the import with easy populate and i also am using navicat but still get data errors i am lost i don't know why its doing this i have the same data on windows machine using apache and mysql.
I used Navicat as this was quicker i have the same database on my localhost on windows machine and all is perfect, so i done a data transfer using navicat to my live server which is linux box and found that my data was corrupt i really need help on this as i am still newbie i don't know why it happening. Are you sure your databases are using the same encoding? It seems to me that it isn't a Navicat problem, but an encoding one. If you change your encoding to UTF-8 they should display correctly, though you may have to re-dump your DB.
