Re: Advice??
I'm into java web applications, but php and java have got one thing in common : eclipse. This is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) which can be downloaded for free at www.eclipse.org.
Eclipse was originally intented to develop java programs, but you can download a plugin which will allow you to develop in php as well. You can find this plugin at http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpeclipse/. And eclipse can even do more : with the right plugin, you can manage your MySQL database from within eclipse. take a look at http://www.eclipseplugincentral.com/ or http://eclipse-plugins.2y.net/eclipse/index.jsp to get an overview of plugins to manage MySQL. Some plugins are free, others are commercialised, so be careful with what you choose. In short, eclipse could be the tool for you to write PHP programs and manage your MySQL tables. |
