Checkin/Checkout methods for MySQL

Is anyone aware of a setting or application that will protect data from two users editting the same table at once.

Like a checkin/checkout feature.

I am currently using mysql with phpmyadmin and can create different users for different areas but cant keep two users in the same area from overwriting each other.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Checkin/Checkout methods for MySQL

I've read through a good portion of the mysql documentation and don't remember seeing this feature. Although there is a lot I didn't understand that I read. But I do know there is a lock feature that you can write into the queries. Don't know if that solution can help you.
