Navicat - Cannot Connect to remote hosting company
I am unable to configure Navicat to connect to my hosting company server. I am able to use putty to SSH into a terminal and login and access my SQL from the terminal, and the hosting company tells me that SSH is running properly. I know that they do not expose a public port for mySQL for security reasons. Can anyone help me with config?
I have configured using the following: Connection Properties Dialog--> SSH settings tab--> Host Name/IP: (tried mydomain.com and IP address) Port: 22 Username: the terminal username that I would use to log in using putty Password: the system password as above General Settings Tab--> Host Name/IP address: used localhost; loopback IP; mydomain.com and the public IP Port: 3306 Username: the mySQL username that I use to log into the mySQL db in a terminal Password: the mySQL password that I use to log into the mySQL db in a terminal The error I get is: SSH Tunnel: 1 (or 2) Connect failed, Connection refused Any help would be greatly appreciated... I really want Navicat access to this mySQL db... TIA Keith |

Re: Navicat - Cannot Connect to remote hosting company
When you are connecting with putty, do you use the same port (22)?

Re: Navicat - Cannot Connect to remote hosting company
I have putty configured to use Port 22 for the connection, and putty works properly.
TIA |
