Importing 3M CSV File takes over 2 hours

I just downloaded the latest ver and use the latest non alfa/beta ver of Mysql for a php shopping cart oscommerce. I set up the database all is good.

I took the 3meg csv text file comma del and went to import into the test database and its now been 2 hours and its still processing using 50% of cpu of a dual 1MHz PIII 1Gig compaq server. I must be doing something wrong. This is taking forever.

Any help would be great! Thanks in advance as Im not the most experienced with these things yet and totally new to the cat software.
